During the Belt and Road Summit held in Hong Kong, an important agreement was reached to bolster anti-corruption efforts. Witnessed by the Chief Executive of Hong Kong, His Excellency Mr. John Lee, the President of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) of Maldives, Uz. Adam Shamil, exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Commissioner Mr. Woo Ying-ming of the Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC).
This MOU aims to enhance cooperative measures between the two agencies, reinforcing their commitment to fighting corruption. The collaboration is expected to facilitate knowledge sharing, capacity building, and best practices in anti-corruption strategies, thereby strengthening the integrity of both jurisdictions.
