Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar met with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu this evening, marking the beginning of the State Visit to India.

President Dr. Muizzu and First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed arrived in the Indian capital, New Delhi, earlier today at the invitation of Indian President Droupadi Murmu.

During their meeting, Dr. Jaishankar commended President Dr. Muizzu’s commitment to enhancing the India-Maldives relationship. He expressed confidence that upcoming discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi would provide new momentum to the friendly ties between the two nations.

President Dr. Muizzu's delegation for the state visit includes several cabinet ministers and prominent business leaders. The itinerary includes business meetings scheduled in New Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru throughout the trip.
