The Hawks, a reputable fuel business operator in the region, has issued a statement firmly denying any involvement in illegal business activities, particularly regarding the tobacco industry and the importation of cigarettes.

This statment comes in response to ongoing speculation and reports of 8,475 cartons of tobacco allegedly being illegally imported to the Maldives. The Hawks Pvt Ltd has fully cooperated with Maldivian authorities as they investigate the suspected illegal trafficking of tobacco via sea cargo to Thilafushi.

In its statement on 28th October , The Hawks emphasized its cooperation by providing CCTV footage and all relevant information regarding personnel and activities to assist with the investigation. 

The company assures the public of its compliance with all regulations and reiterates its lack of involvement in any illegal activities.
