Top Chef Maha Naseer recently served as a judge at the prestigious LaCuisine Competition 2024, held from November 12th to 16th in Jakarta, Indonesia. Participating on behalf of The Chefs Guild of Maldives, Maha contributed her expertise to one of Southeast Asia’s largest food and beverage exhibitions. The event attracted 989 participants from various regions across Asia, showcasing the rich culinary diversity and talent of the continent.
The competition was adjudicated by 44 international culinary judges from countries including the Maldives, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, China, the Philippines, and Norway. Maha Naseer, a certified continental judge of the World Association of Chefs’ Societies and the first Maldivian to attain the Masterchef title from the World Master Chefs Society, brought her extensive knowledge and experience to the judging panel.
In addition to her judging duties, Maha Naseer is a board member for the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation, the official government tourism board. Her participation in LaCuisine Competition 2024 not only highlights her personal achievements but also enhances the reputation of Maldivian culinary arts on an international platform.
