Two direct contacts of a youngster who recently tested positive for COVID-19 in ADH. Mahibadhoo has also tested positive for the virus, forcing health officials to place the island under monitoring for the third time since the current outbreak began.

The findings of two of the boy's direct contacts — his mother and father – came back positive for COVID-19. As a result, authorities are now attempting to test the boy's parents' direct contacts.

The original case was 17 years old male with no recent travel history who was tested at the island's flu clinic last week, according to the ADh. Atoll Regional Hospital.

It was determined that all 40 random samples were negative after the hospital did 40 tests in response to this particular case.

A total of 87% of Mahibadhoo's adult population is fully vaccinated, according to health authorities.
