Death of 90-year-old in Thinadhoo, marks 226th COVID-19 death

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) notified on Saturday that a COVID-19 patient died in GDh. Thinadhoo. The patient, a Maldivian man in his 90s, was admitted to the GDh. Covid Management Facility in Thinadhoo. His death took place at 6:30 pm on Saturday, August 28th.


As HPA reported, "This marks Maldives' 226th COVID-19 death."  And Third COVID-19 death in Thinadhoo, according to the latest report.


80,678 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in the Maldives, including 139 new cases reported on Saturday. Since then, 78,757 patients have been able to regain their health and independence.


Currently, there are 1,683 active cases in the country. There are 11 inpatients.
