The Malé City Council has announced the temporary closure of sections of Majeedhee Magu to address persistent flooding issues in the area.
Starting today and continuing until next Saturday, traffic flow will be rerouted from Chaandhanee Magu to Rah-dhebai Magu. The affected stretch runs from Dhanburu Magu to Nikagas Magu, an area notorious for heavy flooding during the rainy season, particularly near the Malé Grand Flat area.
This initiative is part of the council's broader efforts to fix flood-prone roads across the city, which began last week.
