WAMCO Revises Waste Collection Billing Policy for Islands

The Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) has announced a reversal of its earlier decision to include waste collection fees in electricity bills for island residents.

Previously, WAMCO planned to integrate garbage collection charges into utility bills starting this year. However, following advice from President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, the company decided to amend its policy.

Under the new arrangement, waste management services will be billed exclusively to registered customers in the islands. Payments can be made at WAMCO offices located on the islands or through their Avas Pay portal.

This change aims to streamline the payment process and ensure better alignment with customer preferences and needs.
