The Aasandha Company has called on the public to report any challenges faced when obtaining medicines under the Aasandha scheme.
In a social media post, the company requested individuals to notify them if payments are required or if prescribed medications are unavailable under the scheme. Reports can be submitted via Viber to the Aasandha hotline at +960 7951400.
To file a report, individuals must include the name of the pharmacy along with copies of the prescription and bill.
The appeal comes amid complaints following Aasandha's capping of coverage rates for medications. Many pharmacies have reportedly stopped issuing certain medications under the scheme, though these medicines remain available for purchase.
Ahmed Maumoon, President of the Pharmaceutical Association, previously told Mihaaru News that pharmacies have raised concerns about the impact of price controls imposed on 250 medications since November.
