Pakistan's High Commissioner Presents Credentials to Maldivian President

The High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Maldives, Vice Admiral (Retd) Faisal Rasul Lodhi, officially presented his Letters of Credence to President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu during a ceremony held this morning at the President's Office.


The event began with a traditional "Haiykolhu" cultural procession, accompanied by the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Drum and Trumpet Band, which ceremonially escorted the High Commissioner from the Republic Square to the President's Office.


Following the formal presentation, President Dr. Muizzu warmly welcomed the new High Commissioner and expressed optimism for strengthening ties between Maldives and Pakistan. The two leaders discussed avenues for enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation in areas such as climate change, healthcare, tourism, and trade.


During the discussions, the High Commissioner commended Maldives for its unwavering support of Palestinian rights, highlighting the nation's dedication to global justice.


Additionally, the day marked the presentation of credentials by the new High Commissioner of India to Maldives, further emphasizing the nation's diplomatic engagements.
