The Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has announced the reprinting of MVR 100 notes due to stock limitations. The new notes will be released into circulation on January 19, continuing MMA's practice of reprinting currency when stock levels are low.

The last reprint of MVR 100 notes occurred in September 2018. The newly reprinted notes bear the signature of former MMA Governor Ali Hashim and are dated July 7, 2024.

The notes feature the Maldivian rufiyaa currency symbol on both sides, consistent with the design elements of the 'Ran Dhiha Faheh' series. This series, first introduced on January 26, 2016, in celebration of 50 years of Maldivian independence, includes denominations of 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 500, and 1000.

The reprinting ensures the continued availability of MVR 100 notes for public use, maintaining the functionality of the Maldivian currency system.
