President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has appealed to the public to support one another in the effort to reform society. During his ongoing tour of South Nilandhe Atoll, the President addressed concerns raised by the public about Government-led initiatives, specifically responding to criticisms about the distribution of tuna fish cans and discounted water and electricity bills. He reassured the public that, as in the previous year, the government would continue offering these discounts.

In his speech, President Muizzu cited the consequences in the Holy Quran and Hadith for those who spread false narratives and emphasized the importance of reflection and critical thinking, as prescribed in Islam. He expressed his concern that issues like gossip, lies, and defamation have become widespread in society.

The President called on the public to use the upcoming Ramadan as an opportunity for self-reflection and to improve their behavior, especially in terms of mindful communication. He concluded by highlighting that the mental, emotional, and spiritual development of individuals is essential for the overall progress of the nation.
