COVID-19: 152 new cases; 1,730 active cases

The Maldives' Health Protection Agency (HPA) announced 152 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 81112.


A total of 152 new cases have been reported to the HPA, including 26 cases from the greater Male' region, 74 cases from residential islands outside Male', 48 cases from active resorts, and 4 cases from liveaboard.


In the meantime, 131 more COVID-19 patients have been proven to have recovered fully in in Tuesday, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 79 143.


The report shows that the Maldives now has 1,730 active cases. As of now, there are 22 people hospitalized. 


On Tuesday,  COVID-19 has been detected in 4,124 samples, including 1,054 from the greater Male' region.


As of Monday, 383,620 people have received their first dose and 302,182 people have been fully vaccinated.
