Authorities announced today that a court order has been requested for the arrest of Raudh Ahmed Zilal, a resident of G. Eriyadhoo, who was reportedly with the woman who fell from a building onto the roof of a neighboring warehouse.

During a press briefing aimed at addressing public criticism over the investigation, Deputy Commissioner of Police Ahmed Naveen confirmed Raudh's presence at the scene on the night of the incident. CCTV footage shared by police shows both Raudh and the woman entering the building, appearing together in the stairwell, and later depicts Raudh’s behavior following the fall.

According to police, only Raudh and the woman were seen in the stairwell at the time of the fall. Investigators noted inconsistencies in Raudh’s account of events, prompting them to seek legal authorization for his arrest.

Police also stated that they had traced the duo’s prior movements that night and identified seven other young individuals who were seen entering a separate residence, Maandhooge Dhekunubai, around midnight. Statements have been collected from all of them, and travel bans have been enforced.

Additionally, police confirmed that Raudh’s phone has been confiscated as part of the investigation.
