A trainee at the Police Training Centre in Vaanee, located in Dhaalu Atoll, has been admitted to the hospital following a sudden decline in his health. Authorities reported that the recruit became unwell on Saturday night and was initially taken to Kudahuvadhoo Hospital early Sunday morning.

Due to the seriousness of his condition, he was later transported to Malé for further medical care and is now being treated at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH). While police confirmed that the trainee’s condition is critical, they have not revealed what caused his illness.
