President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has emphasized the close relationships that exist between China and the Maldives and has talked about strengthening those ties.further, focusing on industries like tourism, education, sports, and agriculture. He said it while receiving a courtesy call from Wang Yubo, the governor of China's  Yunnan Province.

President Solih expressed his profound gratitude to the Chinese government for helping to advance the socioeconomic development of the Maldives during the  meeting. Governor Wang spoke at the meeting and expressed desire in working with the Maldives on initiatives that would be mutually beneficial, particularly in the areas of trade and commerce.

In conclusion, both President Solih and Governor Wang expressed confidence in the continuous collaboration between the Maldives and China, both bilaterally and on the international stage, to address shared concerns and fortify the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
