Maldives is set to introduce a new Investor Residency Opportunity aimed at fostering a favorable environment for foreign investors. At a press conference held at the President's Office, Minister of Economic Development, Mohamed Saeed, emphasized that this residency program will build trust among investors and facilitate the inflow of foreign currency into the economy.
Minister Saeed pointed out that there are already resorts in the Maldives offering similar programs, making this initiative a natural progression to enhance investment opportunities in the country. He also highlighted that the program would be a collaborative effort with companies and businesses that promote such initiatives.
The residency program is expected to focus on specific areas, particularly Ras Maale’ and Gaafaru in the Kaafu Atoll, providing potential investors with targeted locations to establish their presence in the Maldives. This initiative aims to create a win-win situation for both the investors and the local economy, paving the way for sustainable growth.
