President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed attended the flag-hoisting ceremony at Republic Square to commemorate this year’s National Day. 

Vice President Uz Hussain Abdul Latheef, along with his spouse Aishath Afreen Mohamed, joined the President and First Lady for the ceremony this morning. Senior officials from various government offices and institutions were also present at the event.

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has declared Thursday, September 5, 2024, a Government holiday to mark this year's National Day of the Maldives.
