The final leg of the Ooredoo Mas Race is set to take place today in Naifaru. As part of this year’s Ooredoo Maldives anniversary celebrations, the Ooredoo Mas Race has been successfully conducted across three islands: K. Himmafushi, Gaafu Dhaal Thinadhoo, and Lhaviyani Naifaru. The Naifaru event will serve as the concluding competition, with Ooredoo offering cash prizes of MVR 25,000 for 1st place, MVR 10,000 for 2nd place, and MVR 5,000 for 3rd place. Additionally, MVR 1,000 will be awarded to both the best fisherman and the best fisherwoman.

A total of 19 teams will participate in today’s event, which is expected to wrap up at 9 PM tonight. It's important to note that the Naifaru event was initially scheduled for July 16 but was postponed due to unfavorable weather conditions. This year’s Mas Races commenced on July 9.
