Yoosuf Abdul Gafoor, the State Minister of Homeland Security & Technology, has been officially removed from his position. As noted on the Ministry of Homeland Security and Technology’s official website, there are currently five other state ministers serving in the same department.

During his presidential campaign, Dr. Muizzu assured that the total number of political appointees would remain below 700. However, the opposition has raised concerns, alleging that the current figure of political appointees is approaching nearly 2,000.
