The Ambassador of Georgia Presents Credentials to the President

Ambassador of the Georgia to the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Vakhtang Jaoshvili, presented his Letters of Credence to the President, His Excellency Dr Mohamed Muizzu, at a ceremony held on Monday morning at the President's Office.


The Ambassador was escorted to the President’s Office from Republic Square in a cultural procession called “Haiykolhu" with the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Drum and Trumpet Band.


The Ambassador presented his Letters of Credence to the President, who accepted it and welcomed his as the Ambassador of Georgia to the Maldives.


Following the presentation, the President and Ambassador explored topics for further cooperation, such as tourism cooperation and more people-to-people exchange.


Diplomatic relations between Maldives and Georgia was established on March 11, 2010


The Ambassador is accredited to the Maldives as a non-resident Ambassador and resides in India.
