Reports indicate that these threats were posted on social media by a Maldivian citizen identified as Ablo Myad Yosef, according to his account ID. Notably, the individual has allegedly made repeated posts urging the police to come and arrest him.

The MPS is taking this matter seriously, with Police Service Spokesperson ACP Ahmed Shifan confirming that an investigation is underway. Authorities are committed to thoroughly examining the situation to ensure the safety of the President and the public.
