Maldives and Estonia Strengthen Educational Ties Through Collaboration

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu held a meeting with Estonia's Minister of Education and Research, Kristina Kallas, at the Ministry of Education and Research in Estonia yesterday. The visit aimed to strengthen educational ties and explore collaborative opportunities between the two nations.


During the discussion, President Muizzu expressed interest in adopting Estonia's innovative approaches to enhance the Maldives’ education system. He commended Estonia's advancements in education and emphasized the importance of expanding educational opportunities for Maldivian youth.


The two leaders explored the possibility of scholarships and other forms of educational support for Maldivian students. Both sides discussed fostering collaboration through knowledge sharing, capacity building, and strategic partnerships in the education sector.


President Muizzu and Minister Kallas pledged to deepen cooperation in education, focusing on innovation and creating opportunities that benefit both countries.


President Muizzu is currently visiting Estonia at the invitation of Estonian President Dr. Alar Kris, marking a step forward in strengthening bilateral relations between the Maldives and Estonia.
