Maldives Immigration has announced that the three expatriates arrested for involvement in a violent altercation at Artificial Beach will be deported. The individuals, all Indian nationals, were detained by police following the incident last night and are now in Immigration custody.

Immigration Controller Mohamed Sham'aan emphasized that the Maldives has a zero-tolerance policy toward expatriates who jeopardize public safety. “No second chances will be given to those who engage in such acts,” Sham'aan stated, underscoring the government’s firm stance on maintaining law and order.

According to the police, the three expatriates also attacked a Maldivian who was recording the altercation on video. The incident marks the second time in recent months that Indian nationals have been involved in brawls at Artificial Beach, following a similar altercation last month.

The authorities are expediting the deportation process as part of their commitment to ensuring public safety and preventing further disruptions. The repeated incidents highlight the importance of maintaining strict measures to address violence in public spaces.

Maldives Immigration continues to work closely with law enforcement to address such situations promptly and uphold the safety and security of all residents and visitors in the country.
