Authorities have launched a search for Su Xiaoning, a 30-year-old Chinese woman who went missing after arriving in the Maldives on a tourist visa on October 13 last year.

Her family, who lost contact with her following her arrival, filed a complaint through the Chinese Embassy in the Maldives. The case was submitted to the police last Wednesday and is currently being investigated by the Serious and Organized Crime Investigation Department.

Preliminary findings indicate that Su Xiaoning checked out of her guesthouse on the morning of October 24. However, there is no record of her leaving the country, and her current whereabouts remain unknown.

The police have urged anyone with information about Su Xiaoning to contact the Serious and Organized Crime Investigation duty number at 9911099.
