The Ministry of Agriculture in the Maldives has introduced a registry to record individuals involved in commercial agriculture. This initiative is designed to gather data from various sectors, including commercial farmers, small animal and poultry farmers, as well as those cultivating plants for commercial purposes.

However, the registry will not cover private individuals engaged in farming activities within residential areas.

Those who are currently involved in agriculture or have an interest in pursuing commercial farming are encouraged to submit their details by mail before the deadline of April 10, 2025.
