Crime Rates Surge During First Ten Days of Ramadan, Including Domestic Violence and Robberies

During the first ten days of Ramadan, police received reports of 19 domestic violence cases. In addition to these, there were 15 incidents of sexual abuse, 16 cases of child sexual abuse, and 38 cases of intimidation. Other reports included 7 cyber crimes, 70 scams, 153 accidents, 110 drug-related offenses, 147 robberies, and 8 muggings.


 


According to police statistics, crime rates have increased compared to the same period last year, where there were 101 reported robberies and 86 accidents. As in previous years, robbery and accident rates remain among the highest during this period.
