No PCR for Fully Vaccinated Visitors to 28 Islands

It has been announced by the Ministry of Health that certain residential islands can be visited by fully vaccinated visitors without requiring them to undergo obligatory PCR tests.


The list has 28 residential islands outside the greater Male’ area. They are:

It has been announced by the Ministry of Health that fully vaccinated travelers will be allowed to go to residential islands if the weekly positive rate in the particular islands is less than 5%, along with vaccine coverage on that island.


For instance, 90 per cent of the eligible population older than 12 years and 90 per cent of the eligible population older than 65 years must be fully vaccinated, and 95 per cent of guesthouse workers and workers who serve visitors must also be fully vaccinated, according to the vaccination criteria.
