The Hidea Outboard Model, a Chinese brand that has been established since 2008, has finally made its way to the Maldives in 2025.

The outboard engine was showcased and unveiled at an exclusive launch event on 24 July at Quick Ezy Marine Showroom.

The Hidea brand is an outboard engine suitable for speedboats, fishing vessels and other leisure boats. The brand is both affordable in price and prioritises quality operation.

Quick Ezy Marine will be bringing horsepower up to 2.5 to 135 in the local market. Models for which 200 horsepower will be accommodated for will be available at a later date, according to a member of the staff at Quick Ezy.

They will introduce two-stroke and four stroke engines. Two-stroke engines are lightweight engine models with a balanced power-to-weight ratio, and quick acceleration. However, they are known to have higher fuel consumption compared to their four-stroke counterparts. In contrast to two-stroke, four-stroke engines are bulkier in design, have lower emissions and have quieter operation.

Quick Ezy believes that Hidea will be suitable for our environment and will prove to be long-lasting and affordable. They also stated that this product will turn out to be a strong competitor among other similar brands.
