President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has emphasized that decentralised service delivery is fundamental to his Administration’s development agenda, guaranteeing that projects are crafted and executed in close collaboration with local communities.

In his continued tour of the inhabited islands of Baa Atoll, President Muizzu told Kendhoo residents that true advancement necessitates direct interaction between the President, Cabinet members, and institutional leaders with the community.

He remarked that this practical method aligns with his administration's core philosophy of empowering communities via decentralization.

He encouraged local leaders to set aside political differences and collaborate with the Government for the common good, emphasizing the importance of honesty and trust in community governance.

The President also highlighted recent legal changes preventing council-owned firms from running small and micro enterprises, a step intended to protect private entrepreneurs and guarantee equitable opportunities for everyone.

During the Kendhoo visit, President Muizzu reiterated his Administration’s dedication to fulfilling the 10 promises made for the island’s comprehensive development, alongside extra initiatives in health, education, and recreation.
