BML to install ATM services in every inhabited island in AA. Atoll

The Bank of Maldives (BML) has achieved another landmark in its goal to improve financial inclusion nationwide, with the formal launch of ATM services in AA. Maalhos under the “BML ATM in Mulhi Raajje” initiative.


The ceremony, attended by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, Cabinet Ministers, BML Chairperson Ahmed Ali Habeeb, CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef, as well as the Bank’s Board of Directors and senior officials, celebrated the accomplishment of complete ATM coverage in all populated islands of Alifu Alifu Atoll.


During the event, BML's CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef emphasized the importance of this accomplishment:


“Today, as AA comes to a close.” Atoll, we take pride in offering ATM services on every inhabited island across eight atolls through our ‘Mulhi Raajje ah BML ATM’ program. This demonstrates our steadfast dedication to providing financial access for all communities in the Maldives, and we are resolved to finish the project nationwide this year.


Being the largest and most reputable financial entity in the nation, BML keeps broadening its presence with 41 branches spanning all 20 atolls, 144 Self Service Banking Centres, 200 ATMs, an extensive Agent Banking network, and advanced Digital Banking services.


The Muizzu administration has emphasized national financial inclusion within its extensive development plan, with BML’s bold initiative acting as a key element in empowering island communities and bolstering the national economy.
