Authorities have recognized the body discovered at Hulhumale' Water Theme Park on Monday as a Nepalese man who had previously been reported missing. Authorities have also verified that the inquiry has revealed no indications of suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

Police stated that forensic testing has confirmed the identity of the deceased as 29-year-old Rupan Thapa Magar. Magar was reported as missing on August 21.

They stated that the matter is being examined and did not provide additional information.

Authorities previously indicated that the corpse was heavily decomposed upon discovery, complicating the identification process.
