A Maldivian fugitive was arrested in Malaysia by their authorities in connection to a criminal investigation.

The fugitive is named Abdul Bathin Mohamed Musthafa, who sought refuge in Malaysia to hide from his crimes that were committed in Maldives, which included domestic violence, rape, blackmail, exploitation and trafficking. 

His identity and whereabouts were exposed due to information courtesy of MvCrisis, the leading source of breaking news and updates in the Maldives.

The police have not disclosed any further details on the case.
