Bank of Maldives (BML) has declared the commencement of applications for its 2025 Internship Program, providing young Maldivians the opportunity to acquire professional experience in the finance industry.
The year-long initiative is tailored for students and recent alumni from universities and colleges nationwide. Since its launch in 2018, the program has educated 77 interns, with many individuals obtaining full-time positions at the Bank.
This year, BML has broadened the initiative to incorporate TechStart Internships, a specialized path for IT students and alumni. The increase highlights the rising need for talented experts in the Bank’s technology sector, emphasizing its dedication to digital transformation.
Internship Types and Advantages
Graduate Internship Program – 15 positions available in different divisions and departments of the Bank.
TechStart Internship Initiative – 10 positions available in the Bank’s Technology Department.
Participants will acquire practical experience in various business units, collaborating with experts in actual operational environments. For 2025, BML has updated its allowance system, providing graduate interns with MVR 9,000 monthly and TechStart interns with a greater stipend of MVR 11,000 each month.

Applications will be accepted until 30th September 2025 and should be submitted via the Bank's official website: Bank of Maldives Internship Program.
Through the expansion of the program, BML intends to offer young professionals meaningful exposure while enhancing the talent pipeline in banking and financial services.
