Odi Sports moves to top spot following remarkable win

Odi Sports has ascended to the pinnacle of the Dhivehi Premier League with an impressive 1-7 victory over Valencia.


Every team has now completed two games in the league. New Radiant, Maziya, and Odi each won their respective two matches.


Every team has gathered six points. However, with Odi winning by a margin of 6 goals, they have moved to the top position, boasting a 10 goal lead.


New Radiant, positioned in second place, holds an eight-goal lead, whereas Maziya has seven.


In Odi Sport's opening game, they triumphed over Untied Victory with a score of 4-0.


A moment of silence was held to honor former National Team captain Ibrahim Ifrah Areef, who died on Thursday night, prior to yesterday's match. The teams donned black armbands as a mark of respect.


In yesterday's game, Odi's Lithuanian striker Karolis Laukžemis netted three goals. Laukžemis netted the opening goal 11 minutes into the game.


Odi scored the initial four goals in the first thirty minutes of the game. Two minutes after gaining the lead, Odi's Abdulla Looth netted the second goal.


Ibrahim Waheed Hassan, who netted a goal in the last game too, found the back of the net again this time. He scored the team's third goal of the game in the 21st minute.


The fourth goal was scored by Ibrahim Iman at the 30th minute.


With the start of the second half, Laukžemis netted two additional goals and achieved his hattrick.


The last goal was netted by Muzdhan Hassan in extra time. Prior to this, the only goal for Valencia was netted by Abdul Sameel Hassan.
