Bank of Maldives (BML), together with American Express (AMEX), has initiated a fresh campaign to encourage Maldivian tourism for AMEX Cardmembers.
The project was officially launched on Saturday evening at Barcelo Nasandhura Male' by Finance Minister Moosa Zameer and BML's CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef.
Named 'Experience Maldives', the initiative, currently in its fourth iteration, aligns with World Tourism Day and seeks to highlight the Maldives as a top luxury travel destination.
Backed by the Ministry of Tourism, Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI), Visit Maldives Corporation, and the National Boating Association of Maldives, the two-year initiative provides exclusive advantages to AMEX Cardmembers. These consist of exclusive deals from resorts, liveaboards, and retailers, encompassing spa services, seaside dining, aquatic activities, floating breakfasts, and room enhancements.
During the event, Shareef mentioned that the initiative will allow AMEX Cardmembers to discover the Maldives’ natural splendor and cultural heritage via tailored experiences. "This campaign will enhance Maldives' status as a top luxury tourism destination globally," he stated.
Divya Jain, Vice President and General Manager for GNS Bank Partnerships in Asia and South Pacific Growth Markets at AMEX, shared the same sentiment, emphasizing the Maldives' worldwide allure and the campaign’s contribution to providing distinct, high-value experiences for AMEX customers.
BML states that earlier editions of Experience Maldives, released in 2017, 2019, and 2023, provided premium services, exclusive prices, and complimentary experiences aimed at improving the travel experience for AMEX Cardmembers.
