The Maldivian Environment Ministry has set up a system to monitor air quality in Male' City, the country's congested capital.

Clean Air Day for Blue Skies was celebrated on Tuesday, which corresponded with the launch of the system.

Maldives Environment Minister Aminat Shauna remarked that the air quality monitoring system is presently located only in Male' City, but it would be expanded to other parts of the Maldives in due course.

People who want to monitor the air quality in the Maldives should download the Air Visual app and pick the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, and Technology, according to the Environment Ministry.

As of right now, the air quality in Male' City is considered to be moderate.

"Moderate" air quality is acceptable, according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Certain individuals may be at risk due to their exceptionally high sensitivity.
