President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has expressed heartfelt condolences to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the people of Türkiye following the fatal crash of a Turkish military cargo aircraft.

In a post shared on X, President Muizzu extended his deepest sympathies to the families of the victims, praying that the deceased be granted Paradise and their loved ones be blessed with strength and patience during this time of grief.

According to reports, the Turkish military cargo aircraft crashed yesterday near the border region connecting Georgia and Azerbaijan, resulting in the deaths of all 20 individuals on board.

Rescue teams remain actively engaged at the crash site, while Turkish authorities have launched a detailed investigation into the cause of the accident.
