Male' City Mayor, Dr Mohamed Muizzu has departed to Turkey on a seven-day official visit. Male' city council's Managing Consultant Hassan Zareer and Senior Council Executive Ahmed Shareef are accompanying him on the trip.

According to Male' City Council, Muizzu will meet with Turkish mayors during his trip to strengthen connections and seek support in developing Male' City.

Dr Muizzu's commitment to the people of Male city is to fix long-standing issues in the Maldivian capital, such as implementing parking zones across the city to reduce traffic.

Every month, the city council holds a public forum to discuss issues that impact residents and to gather comments on proposed initiatives.

This is Muizzu's first official trip as a mayor and It's been reported that he will be returning on the 17th of this month.
