Ministry of Education plea to the public, asking people to notify them if they see a mistake that needs to be corrected in any of the Islam and Quran textbooks.

Yesterday, the Education Ministry announced that they are working to correct the errors in the books as they found several Islam and Quran school textbooks contained errors in Quran verses. 

In this regard, they have asked the public to email them if they find a mistake in any of the textbooks. Email curriculum@nie.gov.mv letting them know which book and page the error is in.

Prior to this, the Ministry announced the formation of a special committee to proofread all Islam and Quran textbooks distributed to schoolchildren.

The Ministry highlighted that it was an impartial body with three members for each grade.

In addition, Ministry indicated that the committee aims to complete the proofreading job by the earliest possible time and as part of its responsibilities the committee will also write and submit a complete report describing the errors detected in the books.
