The National Social Protection Agency (NSPA) spent MVR 12.4 million on therapeutic services for children and people with disabilities last month, according to official statistics.  

A total of 359 individuals received treatment under NSPA’s disability therapy programme in November. Of these, 252 were male and 107 were female.  

Behavioral therapy accounted for the highest expenditure, with MVR 3.5 million spent, continuing a trend where this therapy type receives the most funding.

In addition, MVR 435,120 was spent on therapeutic treatment for 58 individuals under NSPA’s medical assistance programme.  

As of last month, 14,938 individuals were registered in the national disability registry. This includes:
