The National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM) elected Ismail Shareef, a seasoned veteran of the Maldivian maritime industry, as its new President during the association's Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Sunday afternoon.

  Professional Background: Ismail Shareef is currently the General Manager of Al Shaali Marine Maldives, one of the leading boat-building companies in the country. He has over 25 years of experience in the industry.

  Accomplishments: Since becoming GM of Al Shaali Marine in 2013, Shareef has been credited with transforming the company into a major award-winning provider of fiber-optic speedboats and traditional vessels (dhonis) in the Maldives.
