The body of the Maldivian individual who vanished following the capsizing of a cargo vessel on Sunday morning has been located. He has been recognized as a seasoned captain who dedicated his whole life to working at sea.

The boat, Balma 6, overturned close to Taj Exotica Resort at 07:27 hours on Sunday morning. Out of the four individuals aboard, two were rescued, whereas one Maldivian and one foreigner are unaccounted for.

The Maldivian victim was discovered on the beach of Taj Exotica at approximately 11:00 hrs that same morning. He has been recognized as Ali Hussain, 60, from B. Hithaadhoo.

Relatives posted on social media that Ali Hussain had been a captain since the initial days of motorized fishing boats, eventually becoming the captain of a supply ship. Individuals who were familiar with him depicted him as a mentor with many years of experience on the ocean.

His burial took place at the new graveyard following Isha prayers.
