US-Bangla to operate flights to Maldives

US-Bangla Airlines has announced to start operating flights on Dhaka-Chennai route from Septeber. Under the Air Bubble Agreement with Bangladesh and India, the company is going to start operating flights in compliance with all health regulations.


According to US-Bangla, Indian Civil Aviation guidelines require a negative report of the Covid-19 RT-PCR test within 72 hours of travel. After landing at Chennai Airport, passengers will have to undergo molecular tests at their own expense. All visas except travel visa can currently go to India under the Air Bubble Agreement.


US-Bangla Airlines will leave Dhaka for Chennai at 10.30 am every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday and land in Chennai at 12.40 pm local time. It will leave Chennai for Dhaka at 1.30 pm on the same day and land in Dhaka at 4.30 pm.


At present, the US-Bangladesh fleet has a total of 14 aircraft. Of these, 4 are Boeing 737-800 and 6 are brand new ATR 72-600. In addition to Chennai, US-Bangla Airlines currently operates flights to Muscat, Doha, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Guangzhou. However, due to Corona, the state has temporarily suspended flights to Kolkata, Bangkok and Dubai. Besides, the airline operates daily flights from Dhaka to Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Sylhet, Jessore, Syedpur, Rajshahi and Barisal on domestic routes.
