Aman has been detained for reportedly halting a WAMCO vehicle and attacking one of its workers, the same person who was earlier apprehended regarding a two-kilogram drug case.
Authorities recognized the suspect as Ahmed Shamoon, 28, hailing from L. Gan. He was detained in connection with the incident and has been held in custody for five days. He faces charges of assault.
Records indicate that Shamoon had previously faced charges in a significant drug case where the Drug Enforcement Department conducted searches of four residences, a motorcycle, and a boat in the North Harbor area, seizing over two kilograms of drugs. He was one of those taken into custody during that operation.
The Prosecutor General's Office accused him of utilizing, possessing, and hiding property and funds acquired through criminal activities.
Nonetheless, the Criminal Court determined that the allegations were unsubstantiated. The judgment was issued by Judge Hussain Faiz Rashad, who was recently removed due to a behavioral misconduct issue.
The prosecution subsequently contested the decision in the High Court, where the matter is still unresolved. A number of others were also indicted with Shamoon in the same drug matter.
