Faris Maumoon for MRM President

Maldives Reform Movement (MRM) has said Faris Maumoon will be running uncontested for Party President in its first National Convention.


At the national convention, the party will choose two delegate presidents - one male and one female. Aminath Nadira, is running uncontested for one space while Shimaz Ali and Shazail Shiyam will challenge for the excess position.


Also, 20 individuals will be chosen for the party's Executive Committee. This incorporates an equivalent number of male and female individuals. A president, an appointee president and 30 individuals will be chosen for the party's Youth Council, just as a president, agent president and 20 individuals to the Women's Council. Five individuals will likewise be chosen for the party's Elections Committee, Disciplinary Committee and Appeals Committee.


MRM's congress has been booked for October 2. Any enrolled individuals from the party can run for the party posts, while individuals underneath the age of 30 can run for the Youth Council.
