Legendary singer Haaburi Rasheed admitted to IGMH

Legendry singer Ibrahim Rasheed, better known as Haaburi, has been admitted to a hospital in Male’ after his health declined.


79-year-old Rasheed has been in poor health for a long time, and was admitted to the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) on Friday night.


He is reportedly suffering from a pulmonary edema.


Rasheed, known for his originality and creativity, has dominated the Maldivian music industry for over five decades.


He is known for his distinctive style of singing, as well as composing his own music and lyrics. He is also known for his talent in playing the traditional boduberu.
