The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) reported that seven individuals were given temporary accommodation after a fire engulfed a room in a house in Hulhumale' on Tuesday.
The blaze started at Lot 11395. NDMA reported that one room was entirely consumed by fire, while the nearby room and the living room also suffered from heat and smoke damage.
As per the most recent announcement from the authority, temporary housing, meals, and clothing have been provided for the seven individuals for five days.
NDMA reported that aid was given after the fire rendered one-fourth of the house unliveable and resulted in different degrees of damage to the other portions.
The event occurs just after another fire in a Hiyaa tower in Hulhumale', which harmed sewage and water systems supporting 38 apartments.
