Former TVM producer arrested for allegedly grooming and sexually assaulting a child

A previous senior producer at the state-run broadcaster TVM has been detained under suspicion of grooming and sexually abusing a minor.


The accused, Moosal Mueen (37), hails from Rihidhoadhi/G.Dh. Fiyoari was detained in relation to the case.


Police claim he is charged with making inappropriate comments to a minor, trying to groom and exploit the child, storing and possessing child sexual abuse material on electronic devices, and participating in sexual acts with minors.


He was apprehended on Thursday.


Sun has discovered that he was recently let go from his job due to the matter. Mueen was a senior producer at TVM and played a role in creating various well-liked children’s shows.


Authorities stated he appeared in court on Thursday for a remand hearing and was instructed to stay in custody for 15 days.


Authorities emphasized that every criminal case related to minors, such as the distribution or possession of pornographic content, is examined and prosecuted with utmost priority.



The Family and Child Protection Department is conducting an investigation into the case.
