Ahmed Saeed, a council member from Addu, informed Sun that Ali Didi passed away at the Addu Equatorial Hospital on Saturday morning.

Saeed mentioned that numerous children of Ali Didi live outside of Addu, so the funeral prayer has been postponed until after Isha, giving them a chance to come back to the city for the funeral.
